Williamsport Schools

Williamsport is the home of Williamsport Elementary School, Springfield Middle School and Williamsport High School which are all located at the school campus on Clifton Drive. In addition, three other elementary schools ( Hickory, Lincolnshire, and Fountain Rock) serve as feeder schools to the Middle and High schools. These schools are part of the Washington County Board of Education system of schools. The Williamsport schools are considered some of the best locally, regionally, and nationally. A high level of parent and student involvement at all levels has allowed the students to succeed academically and beyond. Williamsport High School has long been known for its highly successful sports, band, and choral programs. The Blue Band formed more than 50 years ago has successful competed at the state, regional, and national levels. As well, the Sophisticats, the high school show choir, is known for its outstanding showmanship. Additionally, WHS has consistently produced some of the strongest and most competitive sports teams in Maryland, boasting innumerable team and individual appearances and titles in Regional and State Championships.
