SCOUTS TROOP AND PACK 17
Our local Scout Pack 17 will be out and about distributing notices for their “Scouting for Food” pick-up on Saturday, March 29. This “Scouting for Food” project will support the Williamsport Food Bank. They will be back out collecting the bags of food items on Saturday, April 5. Please help support the local scouts and food bank. They appreciate your support.

TREE PLANTING
Saturday, March 29th will bring another tree planting day for Byron Memorial Park. Volunteers will be needed to plant approximately 50 trees from 9 am—Noon. This will be held rain or shine so wear your work clothes and shoes to help ‘dig’ in. For more information you mall contact Councilman Jeff Cline at 301-331-0383.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Come to Zion Lutheran Church for an all you can eat pancake breakfast Saturday, April 5 from 7:30—11 am. The cost is $5 per person. You will be enjoying eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash brown potatoes, fruit cup, coffee and juice.


WILLIAMSPORT ’S 2ND FRIDAY
Please join the downtown merchants for our first ‘2nd Friday’ of the year. The date is Friday, April 12 from 6—9 pm. The event will take place in downtown Williamsport. The theme for our 2nd Friday is Earth Day and every business, with the help of our local Girl Scout Troop, will be planting trees. Lots of events are scheduled. Music, games for kids, historic tours of Williamsport, talks with the local museum members, street dance for the kids and Girl Scout cookies are among such events. Our local businesses are helping to sponsor this event along with the town so please come join us for an evening of fun. The businesses will be open until 9 pm with special discounts and refreshments. May 10th will be will our next ‘2nd Friday’ and the theme will be Bicycle Safety. With the help of Scott Gordon from River City Cycles this should prove to be a huge event. Details will follow in next month’s newsletter. Hope to see everyone there to help support our wonderful town.

TOWN EMPLOYEE CAR SHOW
2nd annual Classic Car Show will be held May 10 in Byron Memorial Park from 8 - 3 pm. Rain date will be May 11. All proceeds will benefit Christmas Lights in the Park. WHS BLUE BAND NEWS
Wednesday, April 2 at CiCi’s Pizza - The Blue Band will receive 10% of proceeds from 5 - 8 pm. Be sure to write Blue Band on the back of your receipt and slip it into the box provided. Hope to see you there!
Pampered Chef Raffle - Do you like Pampered Chef? Then here is the raffle for you! For only $10 you get 30 chances to win Pampered Chef items - from Baking stones to accessories - the prizes are GREAT! We will be drawing one winner each day for the whole month of April. COUNCIL MEETINGS
The next workshop - April 7, 6:30 pm
The next Regular Council Meeting:
April 14 at 7 pm.
Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.


WILLIAMSPORT COMMUNITY BAND
The Community Band will be performing their 10th annual Spring Concert Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 pm. The concert is held at the WHS auditorium. This concert will feature a clarinet solo by Mr. Harry Kight.

Our website is being updated to feature useful and more informative items. The newsletter will soon be featured on the web site. We will be phasing out door to door delivery of the newsletter once it is added to the web site. Copies of the newsletter will always be available at Town Hall for you when you come visit to pay your monthly bills. If you are unable to obtain the newsletter either way please contact Town Hall.
